About Us

We are professional, second generation breeders that are dedicated to creating the best family dogs possible. We know from experience how hard it is to cope with dogs that have had genetic diseases, dogs that were unhealthy, dogs that were born and raised in a puppy mill, and how hard it can be to adjust to a shelter dog in your home with your family. We seek to improve the quality of dogs available on the market, and to improve the standard for breeders by doing everything we can to better ourselves.

We strive for Genetic Excellence

We take the genetic health of our dogs very seriously. We test all of our dogs for over 190 genetic conditions through Embark to ensure that every puppy we breed is genetically healthy. We are not afraid to retire a dog that does not meet our high standards. In addition, we constantly bring in new dogs from out of state and country to add healthy diversity to our lines.

We work hard for a clean, healthy environment

To combat parvo and other diseases, we clean everything our puppies come in contact with daily with vet grade Parvosol II RTU Disinfectant. We use high end plastic whelping boxes that are easy to clean and do not harbor bacteria like wooden boxes. As a further precaution against parvo, we are careful about the people and dogs we expose the puppies to before they begin their shots.
We keep our pups on imitation lamb's wool padding from the time they are born to prevent poor hips from swimmer's legs, and to keep our puppies dry, clean, and healthy. We change this padding out two to three times a day and give our puppies weekly baths to ensure they are always clean and comfortable.

Every dog deserves a good home

"Every dog deserves a good home" has been our mantra from day one. Every dog deserves to be a dog. They deserve to be scratched behind the ears, run through puddles, and be loved. We are striving to promote ethical, sustainable breeding through the use of guardian homes in our program. Every guardian home is carefully selected to ensure our breeding dogs will be loved for life.

Our commitment against backyard breeding

I was once asked if I considered myself a "backyard breeder". By our definition, the answer is a resounding "no." Backyard breeding, to us, is when a breeder is uneducated about or disregards the needs, standards, and potential problems that come with breeding dogs responsibly. I believe than anyone can breed their dog responsibly and not be considered a "backyard breeder" if they educate themselves about how to care for a pregnant dog and her litter properly. I am more than happy to be a resource to anyone with questions on how to properly breed, whelp, and raise puppies in order to fight the "backyard breeder" culture.
